I’m Katie, Your Coach at Second House

I’m a Wedding & Business Coach for Creatives, founders, entrepreneurs, and leaders who are building big things with heart—people who want their work to feel aligned, purposeful, and sustainable.

Whether you’re growing a small business, shaping a mission-driven organization, or navigating the complexities of a once-in-a-lifetime event, I’m here to help you bring clarity, depth, and direction to your next chapter.

My background bridges entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, hospitality, and large-scale event production. I’m the founder of Second House and co-owner of The Maples Estate, an extended-weekend wedding venue in upstate New York, where I lead planning, operations, marketing, and guest experience. I’ve built businesses from the ground up and understand how vision, systems, and storytelling work together to create something viable—and meaningful.

Before launching my own ventures, I spent years in downtown revitalization as the Executive Director of the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District. I produced hundreds of events, worked across sectors to move community initiatives forward, and supported countless small business owners through growth, uncertainty, and reinvention. This work shaped my holistic approach as a business coach New York professionals and small business owners rely on—teaching me how to navigate complexity with calm, how to listen beneath the surface, and how to guide people toward clarity and momentum.

I’ve been in the weeds. I’ve worn every hat. I know what it means to build something that asks everything of you—the excitement, the pressure, the breakthroughs, and the quiet moments of doubt. My coaching style is grounded, collaborative, and deeply attuned.
